魚の多い海岸で繁殖している。　冬は根室海峡全体で500羽前後が越冬する。
They are breeding on fish-rich seacoast. In winter, about 500 eagles migrate into Nemuro Strait.

根室半島から羅臼にかけての海岸線をゆっくり見て回れば、確実に見つけることができる。　冬季に羅臼港から出航する観光船に乗れば、近距離で観察撮影することが可能。
Scan the shoreline from Nemuro to Rausu slowly. You will find some eagles for sure even in summer. In winter, you will be able to take photo in close distance from a cruise boat of Rausu.

冬季、観光船からの撮影では、70-400㎜程度の手持ち撮影できる望遠ズームレンズと連写の速いカメラが適している。　それ以外の季節では、600㎜以上の長い望遠レンズが有効。
Handheld telephoto, such as 70-400mm, and camera of more than 10fps would be a good solution from a cruise boat of Rausu. In summer season, 600mm or longer lens would work better.
